Food In School Holiday(F.I.S.H.) week 2. Today 50 family’s were expected to come and collect their family size food box ( enough dry/ tin food for 3 days). Another 103 activity bags for children had been made up and donated by Building Bridges Organization. By the time of opening Chris had taken delivery of an enormous amount of Bread, strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes, cake, carrots, parsnips, tin soft drinks, pouches of juice even cat food. It was a mammoth task filling carrier bags with extra goodies. It never ceases to amaze me, the generosity of local and national supermarkets and small business for his great cause. To feed the children in this area who, Unfortunately would go without a hot meal. Today’s frozen meal was a lovely chicken dish. Today I could only stay 10-12noon but others came after me. There was so much free food I couldn’t take a photo as we were too busy
