Edges at Edge Hill
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.

I was a bit worried that it would start raining but the rain held off for the whole mission so that was great. When I arrived Mr M was wearing a mask because his wife is ill, he said it was ok for me not to wear a mask as I’m outside but it reminded me that I should carry one anyway just in case. Mr M’s wife is ill and he has been ill recently and cannot manage the garden anymore. I could tell he wanted to help and felt bad that he wasn’t able to but I reassured him that it was something I wanted to do and he didn’t have to explain himself, that is what I am there to do! He asked me just to tackle the edges. He said that he would be fine with cutting the grass and a bit of weeding but the brambles and plants had gone wild at the edges and he just couldn’t manage the bending over. I cut back and pulled out as much as I could in the time and Mr M said he was amazed at how much I had done (even though I thought I hadn’t done that much). He had a green bin for all the garden waste and I tidied things up and put the bin out before I left. It was so nice to hear that Mr M was really pleased with the work.
