Don't take plants from strangers
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.

Here's what Ms A of YO30 had to say about the mission:
Ms A called to pass on her feedback to the 'wonderful runners' who did an 'absolutely sterling job' in her garden. She told us the runners were 'so cheerful' and chattering away in the garden and it was lovely for her to see how happy they were to do it. She also said that it is a 'privilege' to have such a service and wanted to pass on all her gratitude!
Mrs A has had GoodGym missions to help in her garden before, so she was ready for our arrival with a great selection of tools and gloves. She has a lovely garden but it's being gradually taken over by an innocent-looking plant with small green leaves that's creeping all over the place and encroaching on everything else. Apparently a man in Whitby gave it to her - I'm sure there's a lesson for us all there.
We set to work on removing as much of it as we could, along with various grasses and any other weeds that we could spot as we worked our way around.
After a couple of hours and a very full green bin , Mrs A was very happy to be able to see so much clear soil again for the first time in a while, and had lots of ideas for what she was going to plant there instead.
