Don’t Stop De-leafin’
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Friday, 12th of July 2019
A beautiful warm and sunny Friday morning greeted Kathryn and I as we met up en route to visit Ms L in north Bristol.
Having tamed the wild grass in the back garden a couple of weeks ago, our task this morning was to tackle the weeds and bushes in the front garden.
Armed with a long handled trowel, some secateurs and lots of black bin bags we set about pulling out long and short stuff, all being expertly bagged up by Kathryn as we went.
Spurred on by the local school who were doing there best Glee version of a famous song by Journey at their assembly, we soon had the ground clear and bushes cut back, liberating lots of garden ornaments along the way.
This gave us time to pop round the back to tackle some more heavy duty and prickly stuff as we attacked the brambles and thorny bushes along the side of the garden.
Great to have a couple of hours working and catching up with Kathryn today and the sun was certainly smiling on us!
Nice one!
