GoodGym Bristol made the most of a glorious early summer evening with a run around Bristol Harbour followed by some restoration work at Brandon Hill.
We met as usual at the Folk House on Park Street at 6.30 and then headed out at a good pace down the hill, around the Harbour to Hotwells before running up the steep hill to the top of Brandon Hill. It was great to see some runners who hadn’t come for a while and some new runners.
This week’s task was to strip away the weeds and growth on the rocks around the water feature so that it can be replanted as an alpine garden. It was tough going ripping out the plants and roots, but we made good progress clearing a large area before we ran out of time.
We completed the run with a fast lap around Brandon Hill and back down to the Folk House. Thanks to Fraser from Brandon Hill for organising the task and taking part in the run.
