Digging hills
17 GoodGymers made their way 6km to help their local community in Hackney.

Hi fellow GoodGymers (and curious peeps out there that have stumbled across this little blog (if you are one of those I hope I do you justice with this babble and that you come join us!). Without further ado:
16 runners ran 6k in a round trip to Morpeth School tonight.
This included a bonus session on the way back. Chatting away amongst ourselves I bet I wasn't the only one wondering what tonight's itinerary would have in store as we headed to the school. Although admittedly quite new to GoodGym, I've never been on the same run twice. Every week has had a new challenge to keep me on my toes.
Morpeth School needed a space cleared for a new growing garden. Not just the weeds but a few small trees to throw into the mix. When handed out our forks and spades I thought this is a big space. But (of course!) it was done in time by 16 GoodGymers... AKA the red army. Sorry, a little carried away there. I don't think anyone calls us the red army. But they might if they saw us all hacking, stabbing, ripping, gauging all those poor little weeds. Ha! After clearing all the weeds with 5 minute to spare we were asked to take some bushes out and all! Not sure if that was really necessary but I guess they thought they'd use us while we were here.
After 30 minutes or so we were back on the road. Now for Ade's infamous "hill sprints". Really good stamina/endurance training that is sure to help my football game. Ouch! Six sprints up and six jogs back down. Using the gears concept we all pushed ourselves to the max. All gasping by the end. I could hardly speak for about 10 minutes after! By then we'd settled into the homeward bound jog at an easy pace. I met Ivo for the first time and had a friendly chat home. I love the vibe on these runs and I think this echos from Ade's positive enthusiastic approach. Keep up the good work my friend! Oh and big ups to Brian for pushing us for the sprint finish!
