Cutty cutty, spready spready
7 GoodGymers made their way to help the The Children's Allotment in Oxford.

Savouring the December nip in the air, seven Goodgymers met on a glamorous street corner in Oxford. Having admired Anwen's new 100 t-shirt (complete with Strictly inspired sequin customisation), we headed round the corner to the Children's Allotment.
This lovely project is a firm favourite with Goodgym Oxford so it was fantastic to be able to be back helping Alice. The purpose of this session was to prune some unruly fruit trees and spread more woodchip around the site. Alice gave us a brief lesson on pruning - tulip shapes and stool cuts are to be aimed for. Armed with loppers (henceforeth known as "the cutty cutty ones"), bow saws and various wheelbarrows and rakes we got started.
It is amazing how much seven people can get done in an hour and a half. Woodchip was spread round the entrance and banked up round the trees and the apple trees we helped pick from earlier in the year were trimmed to perfection and a couple of ash trees were felled too!
Thank you to everyone for coming! We look forward to working with the Children's Allotment a lot more in 2021.
