Cut bush city limits
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Saturday, 7th of December 2019
Our Saturday lunchtime mission took Paul and I to the edge of the city where Bristol borders with North Somerset in Ashton Vale.
Mrs R welcomed us with a piping hot brew, well earned by Paul who was finishing off a 20 mile training run, and some new shears and clippers which she had purchased for our visit.
We were shown to the side of the house and charged with the task of levelling the small bushes to the ground as Mrs R is no longer able to do this herself.
We had a good catch up as we worked and within 90 minutes we had managed to clear some litter, all the weeds and cut the bushes down to the minimum level required.
With that Paul was off to finish the last part of his long run, whilst I went to find a Christmas tree.
Nice!
