Curtain Call
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Tuesday, 14th of November 2017
Ben (Mr High) and Gosia (Ms Little) met up in Hackney today to help Mr and Mrs L taking down their summer curtains and hanging their winter ones. This lovely couple from Hackney ❤ (they have been together for 65 years!) welcomed us very warmly today!
Equipped with a ladder (although Ben didn't really need one), we started the task with changing the curtains in the kitchen. These were quite challenging, hung on old-fashioned plastic hooks; a bit of patience and a manual job was required here.
The second pair of curtains needed to be changed upstairs, in the bedroom. These, hanging on rings, were much easier to deal with.
Mrs and Mr L were very polite and chatty, telling stories about their past, laughing all the time and kept joking about our height - Ben made a general impression that Gosia is very little (and - of course - she is not 😡! 😄) . Quite entertained, we left the house with smiles on our faces. High five 🙌!
