It was a small but perfectly formed team that met at the Terracycle hub at Pinewood Nurseries this morning.
It was great to see Naomi and Jenny rolling their sleeves up to get elbow deep in soapy water to cut, clean and dry another batch of crisp packets for The Crisp Packet Project.
After filling two crates with Tassimo Pods ready to transfer to a recycling spoke at SportsAble, Jen then tackled the mountain of crisp packets that needed sorting, separating those that The CPP can use from those that need to go directly to Terracycle as well as siphoning off items that belong in other waste streams.
We also tackled the collection of pens of all kind that had been donated to the stationary stream. Seeing the amount of barely used pencils that had been left for recycling sharpened our thinking as to whether we could find a local school to whom we could donate them?
