Community FUNDay
6 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Wandsworth.

With the atmosphere at peak level 6 GoodGymers descended from every direction to Broadwater Road for their TENTH annual community FUNDay.
Estimated to have tripled in size from its inaugural year, it now has over 1500 local community members getting involved and raises over £2000 for St George’s Hospital Charity. Jessica, who works at the hospital was particularly thankful for their efforts and reassured them of how important donations like these are.
There was such much going on from a pop up soft play area, trampolining, bumper car track, face painting, apple bobbing and so much more. We should have planned to arrive far earlier than we did to make the most of it. But alas, we were there for a particularly important part - to keep the energy going as they packed the day away and flex our muscles to get the road back to its main use!
Welcomed by the vicar and one of the founders for the funday, we were directed to various tasks and for the next hour we busier away. First up the tables - some for the primary school, others for the church hall, and others for another church. Then, the chairs, oh so many chairs - they just kept on coming. There were pot plants to move back into the church that were deceivingly heavy and finally the bunting. Most of us managed to get stuck in until height became a hindering factor. James, along with a little step ladder, to the rescue!!
Job done. It was almost like nothing had happened except for...the chalk drawings on the road, the laughing and cheering from the lovely residents, the amazing FUNDraising they achieved. Well done GoodGym, well done Broadwater Road, St Augustine's Church, Gatton Primary School and all the fabulous Tooting residents.
