Clover and out ☘️
4 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Bexley.

Early morning started with more rain and I thought we might have to “hedge” our bets with the weather; however a nice morning followed.
After another parkrun in Danson Park, five goodgymers made the short walk to the Old English Garden for the final time in 2019. We were joined by Jenny from GoodGym Greenwich and were greeted at the Garden with tea and coffee.
The “evergreen” Tom soon put us to work armed with shovels, forks and wheelbarrows. Our task put us on edge or should I say border clearing back plants to 18 inches. It was a challenge as the soil was heavy and sticky following long periods of rain. Nothing stood in our way as the wheelbarrows quickly filled up with weeds and unwanted plants to be recycled as compost - a tree-mendous effort.
I think goodgym definitely left its mark on the garden, although I felt I was taking a lot home with me on my trainers.
