After a short 15 minute run I arrived at the task where I met a group of women and girls from a local mosque. After introductions we started tackling a giant box full of clothes that had been donated. We sorted and folded the clothes into piles by type (eg women's t-shirts) and then by size. We were joined by a few other volunteers and as we chatted together we got into the flow of things, folding faster and making decisions on which clothes were needed where. With each large box that we sorted, we put each pile of folded clothes into a bag and sealed and labelled the bag to make this easier to distribute out to people. Thanks to Seema and all at Care 4 Calais / Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees for putting this mission on - it was really great to see lots of people from the local community coming together to help with this!
