Chop to it!
4 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Sunday, 29th of April 2018
This morning four runners went to chop back the wisteria for Mrs A and her husband. A more lovely couple we couldn't have wished to spend an hour of our morning with.
After providing us with loppers, ladders and a handful of secateurs we set to the job. It was fairly quickly decided that Max was going to go up the ladder to get to the branches at the top which needed tidying up. With Barbara at the foot of the ladder Max set to work, throwing his energy into the task (sometimes a little alarmingly as he wobbled away). Branches of wisteria came flying down to the ground, Georgie and Barbara sheltering from the debris before giving the place a good tidy up. With everything chopped back, Mrs A having supervised the whole task and thoroughly happy with the job, Max took a seat on top of the structure to admire the handiwork.
All the while Christine spent time with Mr and Mrs A, talking to them and providing company that was very much enjoyed and appreciated. With the garden tidied and good company enjoyed all bid our farewells and headed home. Job well done.

Great report, trust Max to get clambering!
"It was fairly quickly decided that Max was going to go up the ladder". This could be more accurately stated as "On arrival, Barbara told Max that he was going up the ladder". :-)
