Last night a lovely bunch of twelve GoodGym-ers joined our regular walkable session! We met at our usual home location of St Matthews Hall in Stretford and were joined for the first time by Kerri who has moved up North to study and who is a long standing GoodGym-er. Welcome to the crew! We were are also visited by Luke who brought his docs for checking as he would like to start running and combine this with visiting an older person via our Coach programme. Great to meet you Luke and hopefully see you at a Group run while you wait to be matched up with an older person in our area! Find out more about Coach runs here.
For tonight's session we split into two - those of us that fancied a run (led by ace Run Leader John) went off and completed a pacey almost 5K and those that were feeling slightly more sedate did a stretch session with Kate back at base.
Exercise complete, we then took on the CHAIR CHALLENGE given to us by our fab home location. Many of the chairs used in the big Hall at St Matthews needed their feet replacing so as to preserve the special wooden floor that is used for many activities from Martial Arts to Morris Dancing! So we set to whilat listening to our Feel Good GoodGym playlist and worked on prising and replacing completing nearly 100 chairs in about 40 minutes!
Well done team!
Once we had completed our task we chatted about the tasks that are coming up including Stretford FoodBank and TLC.
Great work team and see you next time!
