Three GoodGymmers ran 8 miles at the Sphinx AC Coombe 8 trail run in the beautiful grounds of Coombe Abbey. With temperatures below zero, but otherwise gorgeous sunshine, the runners strode through a short loop in the long grass before making their way past the Abbey to the winding forest trail. It wouldn’t be Coombe 8 without the infamous stream crossing, which was… refreshing! Feet squelching, the runners tackled the long loop around the lower field through the bomb craters. Eight miles in the bag, it was time for a well-earned hot chocolate, picnic and an absolutely amazing birthday cake! Thanks Sphinx AC for another excellent Coombe 8 and a huge thanks to Debora Stewart for a truly delicious, GoodGym themed cake!
