Bulbs, bark and boxes
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Friday, 18th of November 2022
Mr G was all ready for me when I arrived. We had a good natter while I started to get his front garden ready for the winter. I planted bulbs in his tubs, did some weeding and laid some fresh bark. Unfortunately someone has snaffled one of his bags if bark. We worked out what he needed for a fortnights time so I could finish the job. Mr G used to install windows in the area I lived and he had lived in York all his life. So we talked about which shops used to be where and worked out my local indian restaurant used to be a butchers. We also discovered Mr G knew a number of different colleagues of mine and had been interviewed by one of our Local Area Coordinators about the difference in his life since he had that "what's a good life look like to you" conversation. Mr G is a big fan of Goodgym, Local Area Coordinators, Move Mates and York Neighbours.
