Brunch Bunch
9 GoodGymers made their way to have an amazing time in Camden.
- Sunday, 5th of June 2016
On Sunday morning 9 wonderful coach runners representing 6 different boroughs headed to Smiths of Smithfield for our first ever coach runner brunch. The aim of our social was to meet other coach runners and coach runner reps, hear what's going on in the coach running world and also share our experiences.
After much deliberation on what to order we started with a quiz on all things coach running to get us warmed up and share some very exciting stats. Did you know since the 1st of Jan there have been 1349 coach runs covering 7472km - a distance from London to New Delhi?! Amazing!
Then over our coffees, eggs and pancake stacks we went round the group and shared our highlights as well as offering advice and support to each other for any challenges we may sometimes face. It was really heart warming to hear how we all make difference to our coaches lives and the friendships we have made. All in all a lovely morning with lots of great food and discussions - a great 'eggsperience' had by all! (Couldn't write a brunch report without at least one egg pun now could we?!)
Also for those who like reading, Elizabeth is Missing by Emma Healey is well worth a read - written from the point of view of a lady with dementia it helps give a bit more of an insight into what it is like living with dementia.

Elizabeth is Missing is great. We also read 'A Man Called Ove' in my book club, a good insight into how someone might become isolated quite easily and even resist help (and it's a quick read too ;) ).
