Good Afternoon goodgymmers! This weird weather Saturday two good gymmers Beth and Mridula (me) wandered over to Ms. B's house to help her out with her garden. She has been ill recently and after a visit from previous goodgymmer's wanted a little help with getting her garden in a better state.

It was great to see Beth, who is rapidly approaching her 500th mission! Go Beth! We arrived at the house and were let in by the lovely Ms. B. She was having some problems with moving, but showed us around to the back of her garden. there was a large pile of brambles and some wet newspapers that she wanted us moving. Thinking that this was going to be a short task we got to work, and begun our usual natter laced with a healthy dose of goodgym gossip.

Throughout all this we began packing away the large pile of brambles into bags, and a multitude of things confused us on this mission. Firstly the weather, we were treated to both cold and sleety and boiling hot and sunny all in the period of half an our. We also thought that this task would be relatively quick but the massive pile of brambles turned out to be a much more like the tardis of brambles and seemed to go on forever. However, we did get some cool scars from the scratches. Though bramble scratches are virtually indistinguishable from cat scratches, so I'm not able to identify fellow gardeners to give them knowing looks of solidarity. We made it through bagging all of them in a hour and a half, where we burned through such topics and the goodgym shindig, and Beth's recent awesome cycle for the RIde London weekend!

We also had the lovely Ms. B come outside and chat with us for a bit and enjoy her sunny and large back yard! We also a debate about snails in gardens. Snails friend or foe? Ms B seemed to side with foe, but we thought we could have a side business of exporting them to France with a hipstery label of "Escargot from the Royal Borough of Lewisham". It was definitely better than my suggestion of chucking them over the neighbour's yards, which I can assure you I've never done.

And an hour and a half later we were done! Beth and I continued our tradition of getting on the same bus together! There was no time for our usual hot dog detours, but I told her about some other restaurants, which I will try and tempt her to, pre and post mission next time. Till next time goodgymmers!
