Boxing Up - Round 2
2 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Hackney.
- Monday, 15th of November 2021
- Led by Joel Wiles
It is end of season sale and GoodGym were back to help Traid pack up all the unsold clothes and accessories.
Our two runners worked alongside Traid staff to strip all the rails of the garments before boxing them up and loading them onto shipping pallets. This involved some impressive space saving, box packing techniques demonstrated by the pros. Meanwhile Cassie and I got to grips with the highly technical sellotape gadget and felt tip pen.
The highlight of the evening, however, was getting to roll large bags of clothes and shoes (which despite the staff's best efforts did not fit in the large cardboard boxes) down the stairs to the storage area below - exactly the sort of thing you were told not to do as a child!
Well done Cassie on completing your first ever GoodGym task!
