Bin It to Win It
5 GoodGymers made their way to help the Oxford Mutual Aid in Oxford.

Tonight was all about divide and conquer. 4 on parcel packing, 1 on bin duty.
The dream team of parcel packers completed the preparation of the Wednesday food parcels - both regular deliveries and emergency requests. Last week's sparse fruit and veg had COMPLETELY turned around, leaving plenty of lovely options for the recipients. Unfortunately, with large deliveries of fresh food and warmer temperatures come problems of food waste. Crates full of greens, bananas and tomatoes had to be binned this afternoon as they go off (and attract flies) so quickly at this time of year.
Alice had ordered fruit and milk to be delivered to the hall - AMAZING! - which we shelved and crated, and Chef Diarmuid Rogan had made 16 portions of yummy Cottage Pie from surplus beef mince - THANK YOU! - which we collected, labelled and found a home in the fridges, ready for Thursday and Friday's food deliveries.
Great work once again team.
