Battle-saplings-in-Galactica
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.
- Monday, 8th of May 2023
Well the day started with a 5 mile run and some wee-walks-up-hills to Gattica village in some typical bank holiday straight down soaking rain! Mrs V surprised I arrived fully drenched, had some troubling little oak sapling that were growing too big and that needed to be removed. After making a few little puddles of mud, breaking a hoe and trying a new twisting roots technique I was able to get out 4 saplings with their roots! Next we tackled some ivy creeping into the garden but we did not get time for the nettles. With a thankful Mrs V blessing me with a kiss on the forehead (muddy hugs would not have worked), good karma and couple of jammy dodgers, I left to do my usual go the wrong way home! Helped by a sweet teenager I found my way to the train station eventually!
