Back to Basics - 1. Posture
4 GoodGymers made their way 5km on a training session in Camden.
- Tuesday, 28th of June 2016
Three lovely GoodGymers turned up despite the rain to practice some good running habits.
Helium head
Our main focus was on posture - imagining a helium balloon keeping our head and torso up tall.
Muscle memory
After a short jog to Primrose hill we ran through some drills designed to help create muscle memory of good running form. Next up, we practiced good posture, high knees and backwards arm drive over different running speeds.
Strong core
Lastly we ran through some cross training exercises to help build our core. We discussed ways to remember to do these in the week.
Sarah practices balancing on one leg while brushing her teeth and might try squats while grinding her morning coffee.
Jackie wants to practice the lunge to high knee exercise, this might be while waiting for the kettle to boil.
John might practice squats before GoodGym sessions.

Next session, Tuesday 7th July
Looking forward to it, PSB
