Attempted prescription delivery
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Wednesday, 20th of January 2021
Despite having the required ID the Boots pharmacist said they could not release the prescription as it was a controlled drug and the Boots policy is only relatives or friends can collect such items. We spoke to the beneficiary on the phone and they thanked me for my efforts. Boots will deliver tomorrow morning using their own delivery driver. I’m not clear if this is a local issue or a nationwide one

Thanks for the feedback John. We have had controlled drug delivery before and it wasn't an issue then.
Perhaps it is at the pharmacist discretion to decide if they are happy to release the drug or no. Thank you for your effort!
Thanks so much for your help on this one, John. Lots of valuable learning has come from it!
