Lewisham

Mission

Apple-y Ever After

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.

Mr B had had good gymmers come round before so he knew the drill when Lisa and I arrived. He gave us instructions to clear the central area of the garden from grass and weeds.

Lisa and I had a lovely time chatting and pulling what we hoped were actually weeds. We bonded over accountancy, holidays, british accents and our aversion to running despite joining a running club!

Mr B has two lovely apple trees that had shed their apples, leaving piles of rotten fruit all over the lawn. We swept these up for Mr B as an added bonus.

Mr B was very grateful. At midday he told us it was time we got going as our mothers would be wondering where we had got to, so we went on our way.

'Aversion to running'?! We'll have to work on that ;)
