Another ‘appy customer
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.
- Friday, 7th of July 2023
Mr T has benefited from a few Goodgym visits before, and is really keen to learn more about using his computer and utilising all the benefits technology has to offer. So much so, he recently purchased a new computer, and requested our help in getting a few things back on track.
First on the list was connecting his mobile phone to the WiFi (check), then setting back up his online shopping account (check). The new computer had some fancy - but annoying - “hints, tips and tricks” popping up every time he tried to log on which he wanted rid of (check), we discussed how to make apps full screen as they were appearing too small (check), he wanted to learn how to watch dvds on the laptop as they no longer autoplayed (check) and for security, add a password feature to his computer (check).
Finally Mr T explained that he’d previously been able to watch an array of television via the online apps on his smart TV, which weren’t working anymore as they’d been linked to his old device. He was pleasantly surprised how quickly we were able to set up All4, the channel 5 app, bbc iPlayer and particularly STV, meaning he’ll finally be able to catch up on the Taggert episodes he’s been missing! Big check!
Mr T was delighted with the help from Goodgym as ever, and it’s great Goodgym are able to help someone as pro-active as Mr T in remaining independent. No doubt we’ll be back soon to tackle another list!
