An exstrimmerly wonderful morning and cup of tea...once it's scone its gone!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Sunday, 9th of June 2019
Shreena and Zdeni headed over to Mr L’s garden expecting to mow the lawn….we were surprised when we got there at how overgrown it was however we made some calls to check what we were and were not allowed to use as Mr L had a variety of power tools and then we got to work!
We used two strimmers; one with a cable and one battery powered one which meant we were able to cover a large area in a short amount of time. Mr L offered us a cup of tea then came back not only with two cups of tea but also some scones with jam and cream which went down a treat!
Unfortunately there was only so much we could do in a limited amount of time as we both had plans afterwards, so we strimmed what we could and hope that there can be another mission to finish the back of the garden and mow the lawn so Mr L can enjoy his garden over the summer.
Our hands and backs were aching afterwards but we found the task very satisfying and rewarding. Good luck to Zdeni who went to Redpoint Climbing Centre straight afterward for some lead climbing!
