Ain't mow stopping us now
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Sunday, 11th of August 2019
Three GG Yorkies met at Mrs P's house to help her mow her lawn
Maddy who was celebrating her 100th good deed (give her a cheer!) got straight to it with the petrol lawnmower, while Lindsay and I tackled the weeds around the edges.
Mrs P didn't have any tools other than the lawnmower, so we found our inner cavepeople and repurposed a small rock as a tool to scrape back the grass which had engulfed the steps leading into the back garden.
As Maddy made her way across the huge and somewhat uneven garden with the mower, the drizzle started to descend. We cheered her on to make her go faster before the grass got too wet to mow!
In less than an hour, both the front and back garden were looking a lot tidier. Now Mrs P is just waiting for some better weather so she can get out and enjoy her freshly mowed lawns!
