A sprinkling of history
4 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Barnet.

Four GoodGym members cycled, ran and walked to Finchley Way Open Space. We gathered with other volunteers to continue working on clearing paths and preparing the open space for public use. We were given a job to close off a restricted area using fencing made out of pallets. We also cleared a section covered in carpet and plastic. While doing this we discovered a strange iron pipe with what looked like a sprinkler attached. It was very deep and very solidly made. It could well have been an old example of a sprinkler system. We couldn’t remove it and the curiosity was recovered. See pictures anybody got any idea? It certainly was a sprinkling of history! Thanks for coming and doing some good despite the occasional rain and sun!
