A hive* of activity
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Sunday, 10th of November 2019
Mrs M wanted a few things tidied up in her garden including:
*Removal of a large shrub
*Removal of climbing plants from the greenhouse
*Trimming a shrub
*Clearing weeds from the driveway
Mrs M provided some shiny new shears and secateurs for the job, as well as some older tools.
Rich immediately found a wasps nest which he checked carefully to confirm that it was dead before considering taking it home as a present for his wife (who is allergic to wasps). Very romantic! Unfortunately it was too fragile for him to carry through with this plan.
After about 40 minutes, we'd completed all of our challenges and Mrs M rewarded us with tea, Kitkats and compliments about how young we looked for our age!
- * Yes, I know wasps don't live in hives
