a gate analysis
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Monday, 2nd of September 2019
On a sunny Monday morning 3 energetic Goodgymmers gathered in Hackney to see if they could help out Ms B with her garden fence. After a warm welcome, Nicky didnt hesitate to chat to Ms B about cats, which turned out to be one of the reasons for our presence as well - a little kitten was managing to escape! Unfortunately on closer inspection of said fence it turned out to be a serious challenge - several posts were having issues at ground level. We tried to dig in the loose part of the fence and managed to shore it up a bit more solid than we found it, but were sadly not able to tackle the rest of the fence.
Besides replacing the whole fence, the other option we explained was to put in two posts next to the old posts and reinforce it that way, which Ms B would consider.
So maybe we will be back for round two!
P.S.... pun credit to Rob!
