A Different Perspex-ive
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Saturday, 8th of June 2019
After the breezy winds of this morning, GoodGym runners Alex and Kathryn were very glad to run out in the afternoon sun and help out Mr R with some artistic restoration!
Mr R had a painting of The Crusades which needed a new perspex sheet over the frame and also had a tear around the edges. To get the poster back to shape, we used red wrapping paper to create a new border for the art, and put the frame back in place. As we worked, we both discussed our PhDs and what it was like being so close to finishing for both of us.
After taking a lot of care (and a lot of tape!) to make sure the details of our restoration were correct, we hung the painting up again for Mr R. Mr R also suggested that we should pose with one of his knight helmets (sadly the camera didn't take for my photo!).
Another successful mission wrapped up!
