Sip sip… Hooray! Sip sip…Hooray! Sip sip… Hooray!
It was a lovely evening for a GoodGym task and even a cheeky half pint!
Clare, Kat and I met at the Bridge House for a jog over to meet Richard at Ignition Brewery, an amazing social enterprise providing jobs and training for people with learning disabilities to brew, serve and deliver great beer!
A few weeks back, we had a group run to destroy some pallets and pull up some weeds (basically trees). That was the breaking task, today was the making task! They're making their car park into a lovely, greener space for a Saturday market and even an outdoor cinema.
We did a mixture of jobs:
- Bagging up loads of gravelly soil.
- spreading compost
- planting some lovely shrubs (provided by none other than Tim Lund of GG Bromley/Lewisham fame - it's a lovely community round here!)
Thankfully Chris, one of the barstaff came out with a lovely half of 'spark plug' for each of us half way through - we needed the refreshment! 🥵
Great job guys and I hope you enjoy your bonus bottles!
