We're 2!
Nothing could stop a record turnout tonight. Nothing apart from a tube strike, rain, injuries and illness.
But, 30 GoodGymmers descended upon Highbury for a record number of tasks. That's right. A total of four good things to be done.
Newbs
A warm Islington welcome to first-timers Rhona, Jess and Lorena. Great tasking and hope to have you back.

Barnsbury
A group of six headed over to Barnsbury Community Centre to paint the toilets and scrub the walls. As always, we left the place looking better than it was when we turned up. Lots more little jobs to do around the place so we'll be back soon.
On the way home we played secret surges and had a little lunge, high knees and skip. Aaaah.
St. Luke's
Aidan took a gang down to St. Luke's Community Centre to continue filling planters with soil. Wheelbarrowing Wonders!
Whittington
James led Patrick and Steve L. up to WPCA to give their windows a bit of a clean. Gleaming! They also managed a supermarket trip. We need our famous Islington biscuit.
Trees
Ridding areas of Christmas Trees is all the rage at the moment and Islington is no exception. Damian, James G. and Graham all led mini groups to different recycling sites at Barnard Park, Rosemary Gardens and Kings Gardens. Graham explains the type of thing that went down:
Meanwhile to the Barnsbury end of Islington, another group of four GoodGymers took to the streets to collect and recycle more Christmas trees.
We managed 16 trees! Probably. I'm not sure anyone was counting. Maybe we did more! Post-tree collection workout, we did three hill reps to practice form and add a little bit of variation to the workout. It's all about high knees and the socket to pocket motion! Having done a little bit of good and become a bit more fit, we took it easy on the way back, rounding up to just over 5 miles :)
Debate
Kike suggested: if it's raining should you stick on an anorak or just deal with it? Most reckoned deal with it. The two Steves added their own temperature-dependent option. Typical.
BTW
Taskforce star Kike did her 100th good deed over Christmas. Give her a cheer!
Pizza
Roughly 20 of us went for a post run nosh at Dear Pizza. We munched we boozed and we quizzed. Thanks to Danica, Aidan, Simon and Patrick the quizmasters and thanks to GG Central and particularly marketing man Stephen K. for providing some NB gear as prizes.
Quiz Results
First place: Team "How old do you think Steve Coman is". Worst team name ever, but they were the winners with a total of 56.5 points
Second place: Team "GoodGym Quizlington: the pepper-runniest of them all". great team name but no glory with 45 points.
Third place: Team "The Calzones" with 41 points. Have you guys considered another Goodgym area?
Next Week
Come back next week for more Christmas Tree fun plus a TBA task.
The last two years have been a pleasure. Apart from that one week when you-know-who turned up.....
