10 Items or Less!
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Tuesday, 21st of November 2017
Georgie, Barbara and Egg met to clear a "shed" (I would call it an outhouse but maybe I'm showing my age!) outside some flats for a lady who was coming out of hospital. Aided by a friend of the lady we sorted a wide variety of random items, from a bicycle to an old Sony Walkman, into what was being kept and what needed to be collected by the council. Our main task was to group the items being taken away into as small a number as possible as a total of 10 items was all that could be collected. There was much taping of carpets, random items to an office chair and a very small set of drawers that we tried to fill then squashed into one of the boxes. With a large armchair from inside the lady's flat added to the pile we had our 10 items and we left the shed/outhouse looking much tidier and with some much needed space. Report by Barbara.
